Expands eligibility for the Prosecutors Part of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to include directors, assistant directors, deputy directors, assistant attorneys general, and deputy attorneys general in the Divisions of Law and Alcoholic Beverage Control within the Department of Law and Public Safety

Currently, only employees of the Division of Criminal Justice within the Department of Law and Public Safety are eligible for membership in the Prosecutors Part of PERS

Service credit established in the regular Public Employees' Retirement System prior to the bill's effective date would transfer to the Prosecutors Part without additional cost to the employee

The Prosecutors Part provides different retirement benefits compared to the standard PERS tier, typically offering enhanced benefits similar to those received by county prosecutors and their staff
