Expands the definition of "athletic training" beyond athletes to include treatment, evaluation, and rehabilitation of "physically active persons" participating in sports, athletic competitions, performing arts, recreational activities, employment activities, or military exercises

Removes the previous requirement that athletic trainers could only work with athletes in educational or professional settings, or under physician supervision, broadening their authorized practice scope

Adds "illness" to the scope of athletic training practice, allowing trainers to address exertion-related conditions affecting cardiorespiratory, thermoregulation, musculoskeletal, neurovascular, or endocrine systems, while explicitly excluding prescription of controlled dangerous substances

Updates educational requirements to align with Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education standards and changes the certification body reference from "National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification" to "Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer"

Requires licensed athletic trainers to display or carry their practicing license when rendering services, with provisions allowing concealment of home addresses during public display
