New Jersey Transit Corporation must identify historic sites and memorials located within or around its rail stations and bus and rail terminals throughout the state

NJT is required to design, purchase, erect, and maintain historic markers describing commemorated persons, places, and events at these locations

Historic markers and memorials must be inclusive of all eras and diverse cultural aspects of New Jersey's history, and geographically representative of the entire state

NJT may collaborate with local government officials, historic site owners/operators, and entities that compile data on historical sites to implement the program
