Establishes a Textbook Grant Program for State Interns administered by the Higher Education Student Assistance Authority, providing a one-time $500 grant for textbooks and course materials

Eligible applicants must have completed an unpaid short-term internship at a New Jersey State entity, including executive branch departments, divisions, independent authorities, and commissions

Recipients must be enrolled in good standing in an undergraduate degree program at a New Jersey institution of higher education and intend to continue enrollment in the succeeding semester

Program takes effect immediately and applies to the first full academic year following enactment

Intended to help offset textbook costs, which according to the College Board average over $1,200 annually for undergraduate students
