Amends existing law (P.L.2023, c.9) governing special occasion events on preserved farmland to create a limited exception allowing certain new permanent structures to be used for hosting events

New permanent structures may be used for special occasion events if: constructed within 24 months before application submission or built in the same calendar year as approved events; necessary to enable the applicant's ability to hold events and prepare event grounds; not solely designated as an entertainment venue and has a primary farm-related function; and meets all siting and construction requirements for preserved farmland

Farm owners or operators must certify in their application and provide supporting documentation that any new permanent structure meets these standards

Applies retroactively to February 3, 2023 (the effective date of the original special occasion events law)

Preserved farms must produce at least $10,000 annually in agricultural or horticultural products and may hold up to 26 special occasion events per year, with only 6 events permitted to have 250 or more guests
