501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organizations would become eligible to obtain amusement games licenses under New Jersey's Amusement Games Licensing Law

Licensed nonprofit organizations could conduct amusement games at festivals, carnivals, or fairs held for their benefit or sponsored by the organization

Organizations must still meet all other existing requirements for amusement games licensure

Current law limits amusement games licenses to entertainment venues, amusement parks, seashore/resort areas, and agricultural fairs/4-H exhibitions; this bill expands eligibility to qualifying nonprofits

The Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission in the Division of Consumer Affairs would license these organizations, with additional municipal licensing requirements still applying
