Providers are prohibited from making false statements about insurance network status, geographic location, services offered, or implying relationships with other providers without written consent

Violations constitute an unlawful practice under New Jersey consumer fraud law, with civil penalties up to $1,000 per violation

Injured parties may sue for damages and receive treble (3x) damages plus attorney's fees and court costs

The Department of Health Office of Licensing may investigate violations and suspend or revoke provider licenses in addition to imposing civil penalties
