Extends accidental death benefits to survivors of State Police Retirement System (SPRS) members who retired under ordinary disability, special retirement, or service retirement allowances, in addition to those who received accidental disability retirement

Removes the requirement that the retired member must have died before July 8, 2019 to qualify for benefits, expanding eligibility to deaths occurring after that date

Requires that the member was enrolled in the retirement system at the time of participation in World Trade Center rescue, recovery, or cleanup operations under orders to participate

Eliminates the requirement for survivors to submit the written and sworn statement that would have been required from the member under the original statute

Extends the application deadline to two years after the member or retiree's death, or two years after the bill's effective date, whichever is later
