Removes the 2021 prohibition (P.L.2021, c.459) that prevented police officers from being within 100 feet of ballot drop boxes or polling places during elections while in an official capacity

Restores authority for election boards and municipal/county officials to request or assign police officers to polling places to maintain order and enforce election laws

Eliminates the requirement that ballot drop boxes cannot be located within 100 feet of a police station entrance or exit

Removes notification and recordkeeping requirements that required district boards to report police dispatches to county boards, superintendents of elections, and the Secretary of State

Prohibits police officers who serve as district board members or challengers from wearing uniforms or carrying exposed weapons while serving in those roles during elections, with violation constituting a fourth-degree crime
