Allows police chiefs and fire department chiefs who are members of the Police and Firemen's Retirement System to continue working until age 67, bypassing the mandatory retirement age of 65, if their appointing authority approves in writing

Extends eligibility to chiefs who will turn 65 during the 60-month period following the original 2022 law's effective date

Requires the Board of Trustees to submit a report within 30 days after the 60-month extension period ends, detailing the number of chiefs retained, length of extended service, and impact on the retirement system

Amends P.L.2022, c.9 (C.43:16A-5.3) to continue provisions originally enacted for Police and Firemen's Retirement System members serving as chiefs
