Establishes a Veterans Suicide Prevention Commission to coordinate State agencies in preventing veteran suicides and supporting successful transition of service members into civilian life

Commission consists of 13 members including the Commissioner of Veterans Affairs, Commissioner of Human Services, representatives from Veterans Haven, a Veterans Service Officer, and appointees with expertise in brain injuries, mental health counseling, substance abuse, and veteran employment

Members serve four-year terms without compensation but may be reimbursed for travel expenses; the Commission must hold at least six meetings annually

Commission responsibilities include reviewing State agency activities related to military community, tracking initiative progress, developing strategic collaboration, and increasing public awareness of veteran support services

Department of Veterans Affairs provides staff support; Commission must issue periodic reports on strategic goals and progress to the Governor and Legislature
