Requires all cosmetology and hairstyling licensees (including barbers, beauticians, manicurists, hair braiders, and skin care specialists) to complete one hour of domestic violence sensitivity and response training prior to completing their course of instruction

Training must cover recognizing signs of abuse and assault and resources available to domestic violence victims, with the State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling establishing criteria and approving training providers

Mandates the board to develop and maintain a domestic violence prevention and intervention presentation on the Division of Consumer Affairs website in English, Spanish, Korean, and the three next most commonly spoken languages in New Jersey

Requires the board to notify license renewal applicants about the presentation and provide information to licensees on obtaining consumer education materials about domestic violence

Grants civil and criminal liability immunity to practicing licensees and their employers for acting in good faith or failing to act on information about potential domestic violence or sexual assault obtained during employment
