Allows courts to extend the standard 48-hour deadline for pretrial release decisions when the defendant is charged with a crime involving the use or possession of a firearm

Extension may only be granted upon request of the prosecutor and must be limited to the time reasonably necessary for a firearms ballistic analysis to be conducted

The additional time cannot exceed seven days total, and ballistic analysis results must be immediately provided to the court once completed

Amends the Criminal Justice Reform Act (P.L.2014, c.31) to add this exception to the existing pretrial release timeline requirements
