Establishes a permanent 25-member Advisory Commission on Advancing LGBTQIA+ Youth Equity and Inclusion in Schools within the Department of Education, codifying Executive Order No. 361 signed by Governor Murphy on June 17, 2024

Commission membership includes the Commissioners of Education, Children and Families, Health, and Human Services; the Attorney General; the former Anti-Bullying Task Force chairperson; 8 legislative appointees; and 11 gubernatorial appointees from education organizations and LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups

Duties include reviewing policies impacting LGBTQIA+ students, identifying best practices for inclusive school environments, recommending anti-bullying strategies, supporting curriculum requirements on LGBTQIA+ historical contributions, and advising on mental health support

Initial report due to the Governor and Legislature within 180 days of organizing, with annual reports required thereafter containing findings and legislative recommendations

Public members serve four-year terms with staggered initial appointments; initial members should be drawn from the existing executive order commission to the greatest extent practicable
