Prohibits the New Jersey Cemetery Board from approving construction of a new crematory if the site boundary is within 1,000 feet of public or private schools, residential zones, parks, playgrounds, beaches, recreation areas, or similar public spaces

Applies retroactively to January 1, 2025 for all new crematory applications submitted on or after that date

Maintains existing requirement that crematories must be located on dedicated cemetery property, not on land exclusively devoted to crematory operations alone

Preserves exception for crematoriums operated in conjunction with funeral homes under existing state law
