Mandates school districts to arrange, maintain, and pay premiums for student accident insurance policies, changing this from optional to required

Covers bodily injuries sustained by students while participating in interscholastic athletics, intramural sports, regular curricular programs, and extracurricular activities, including transportation to and from these activities

Repeals N.J.S.18A:43-2, which previously allowed school districts to require parents or guardians to pay a proportionate share of insurance premiums

Clarifies that the insurance requirement does not impose liability on school boards for student injuries occurring during covered programs and activities

Takes effect immediately and applies starting with the first full school year following enactment
