Nonpublic schools (private K-12 schools) must provide student disciplinary records to public school districts upon written request when a student transfers to the public school

Schools must also notify the receiving district of any information obtained from courts or law enforcement regarding offenses the student may have been charged with

Parental or adult student consent is not required for the transfer of these disciplinary records, though the nonpublic school must provide written notice of the transfer to the parent or adult student

If the public school district does not receive the records, it must use every available means to obtain them

The bill extends to nonpublic-to-public school transfers the same disciplinary record transfer procedures that already exist for public-to-public school transfers
