Requires licensed home health care agencies in New Jersey to provide culturally sensitive services upon request of the patient or guardian as a condition of licensure

Mandates that services not infringe on patients' ethnic traditions or religious laws, including preparation of meals conforming to religious dietary requirements (such as kosher or halal)

Allows patients to choose the sex of their home care worker to comply with religious laws and requires employees to dress modestly and interact appropriately according to the patient's religious practices

Requires agencies to accommodate patients' schedules for prayer time, religious holidays, days of rest, and other ethnic or religious observances

Takes effect 180 days following enactment
