Licensed mortgage loan originators and qualified individual licensees under the New Jersey Residential Mortgage Lending Act may perform licensable activities from a residence or other remote location if conducted according to written supervisory policies and procedures

Remote work requires written policies for employee supervision, access to company platforms and customer data through a comprehensive written information security plan, and prohibition on maintaining physical records at remote locations

In-person customer interactions are prohibited at a residence unless that residence is a licensed location

The Commissioner of Banking and Insurance is authorized to promulgate rules and regulations to implement the provisions

The act takes effect immediately upon enactment
