Third-party restaurant reservation services are prohibited from advertising, listing, promoting, or selling reservations for food service establishments without a written agreement with the establishment

"Third-party restaurant reservation service" means any website, mobile application, or internet service that arranges reservations and is owned by someone other than the food service establishment owner

Violations carry civil penalties up to $500 per violation, accruing daily for each day and each establishment affected

Affected food service establishments or persons charged fees may sue for injunctive relief, actual damages up to the total fees collected, attorney's fees, and other remedies

Legal actions must be brought within one year of the alleged violation; the law takes effect on the first day of the third month after enactment
