Entities receiving grants from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts are prohibited from scheduling educational courses, classes, or lectures on days when local school district schools are closed for religious holidays

The restriction applies for 12 months following receipt of the grant and covers both in-person and online programming

For online courses, the prohibition applies based on the religious holiday closures in the school district where the grant recipient entity is located

The rule applies regardless of whether the course, class, or lecture is offered for a fee or free of charge
