Retailers violating the shipping box size restriction face civil penalties of $250-$500 per offense, with each day of continuing violation counted as a separate offense

Consumer electronics products (computers, printers, TVs, telecommunications devices, etc.) are exempt from the shipping box size requirements

The restriction takes effect six months after the bill's enactment and allows exceptions for minimum box size requirements set by USPS or private shipping companies

Enforcement authority is granted to the Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Consumer Affairs, counties, municipalities, and certified county environmental health entities
