Requires the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) to accept birth certificates, marriage certificates, social security cards, divorce decrees, or court orders as proof of a licensee's legal name for driver's licenses

Extends the deadline for notifying MVC of a legal name change from two weeks to six months after the change, or upon the next driver's license renewal, whichever comes first

Mandates that the chief administrator require only the legal name be recorded on driver's licenses (changing "may" to "shall")

Aims to remove barriers to changing a licensee's middle name on a driver's license after marriage without requiring a court order, aligning with Social Security Administration practices

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
