School districts must allow home-schooled students to try out for and participate in school-sponsored extracurricular activities, including clubs, musical ensembles, interscholastic sports, and theatrical productions in their district of residence.

Home-schooled students must provide proof of residency, meet the same eligibility and tryout criteria as enrolled students, and comply with all policies and regulations of the governing organization.

Students seeking to participate in interscholastic athletics must demonstrate they did not transfer to home-schooling for athletic advantage; those who withdrew while academically, behaviorally, or otherwise ineligible remain ineligible to compete.

School districts must allow home-schooled students access to required physical examinations or medical tests offered to enrolled students and must publish examination dates and times on the district website.

The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment.
