Non-profit volunteer emergency service organizations in New Jersey would be exempt from paying registration filing fees under the Charitable Registration and Investigation Act

Covered organizations include those providing emergency medical care, rescue services, patient transport, and fire protection services, including part-paid fire departments, fire districts, and emergency service providers

Current filing fees range from $30 for short form registration (organizations raising $25,000 or less) to $250 for long form registration (organizations raising over $500,000)

The exemption applies to both short form and long form registration requirements with the Attorney General

Takes effect on the first day of the fourth month after enactment
