New Jersey Legislature applies to Congress for an Article V Convention of States, requiring two-thirds of state legislatures (34 states) to make similar applications before Congress must call such a convention

Proposed constitutional amendments would require the federal government to maintain a balanced budget and impose fiscal restraints on federal spending

Term limits would be established for both members of Congress (House and Senate) and Supreme Court Justices to increase turnover and reduce career entrenchment in federal positions

Electoral vote allocation would shift from winner-take-all to the Congressional District Method, where electoral votes are distributed based on popular vote results in each congressional district (currently used only in Maine and Nebraska)

The application remains in effect as a continuing application until the required two-thirds threshold of state legislatures submit matching applications on these subjects
