Designates August 30 of each year as "Keith Pinto Day" in New Jersey to honor Keith Pinto, a 19-year-old lifeguard who was fatally struck by lightning on August 30, 2021, while working in South Seaside Park, Berkeley Township

Keith Pinto was a Toms River resident, Toms River High School North graduate (2020), and Ocean County Community College student who planned to enlist in the U.S. Marines

Governor Murphy previously ordered flags flown at half-staff on September 3, 2021, via Executive Order No. 258 to mourn Pinto's passing

Berkeley Township has already renamed the beach where he worked "Keith Pinto Memorial Beach" and the adjacent street "Keith Pinto Way"

Requests the Governor issue an annual proclamation and calls upon State agencies, organizations, and citizens to observe the day with commemorative activities
