Mandates textured hair training (coiled, curly, or wavy hair types) be included in the curriculum for cosmetologists-hairstylists, beauticians, barbers, and hair braiders at licensed schools in New Jersey.

Requires training to cover working with various coil, curl, and wave patterns, hair strand thickness, and volumes of hair, without increasing total required training hours.

Adds textured hair content to both written and practical portions of licensure examinations for these professions.

Requires at least one member of the 13-member New Jersey State Board of Cosmetology and Hairstyling to have experience and training in providing services to individuals with textured hair.

Takes effect seven months after enactment, with curriculum requirements taking effect 25 months after enactment.
