Prohibits health clubs in New Jersey from including contract provisions that limit their liability for injuries caused by negligence of the owner, operator, or their agents and employees.

Amends the existing health club services contract law (P.L.1987, c.238) by adding a new subsection specifically barring liability waivers for negligence-related injuries.

Violations constitute an unlawful practice under the Consumer Fraud Act, with penalties up to $10,000 for first offenses and $20,000 for subsequent offenses.

Additional enforcement mechanisms include cease and desist orders from the Attorney General, punitive damages, and treble damages with costs awarded to injured parties.

Takes effect on the first day of the ninth month following enactment; sponsored by Assemblymembers Carter (District 22), Reynolds-Jackson (District 15), and Karabinchak (District 18).
