Establishes a certified nurse aide funding program through the Department of Health to distribute money to employers, enabling them to compensate CNAs who work as direct support professionals at the higher pay rate typically paid for CNA services.

Requires the New Jersey Board of Nursing to mandate that approved nursing schools grant academic credit toward nursing degrees for students who gain experience working as direct support professionals.

Directs the Commissioner of Health to establish application processes, guidelines, and compliance standards for the CNA funding program.

Appropriates unspecified funds from the General Fund to the Department of Health to implement the program.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
