Requires New Jersey Medicaid and NJ FamilyCare to cover motorized wheelchairs for nursing facility residents when prescribed by a licensed physician or primary healthcare provider and approved through prior authorization from the enrollee's managed care organization.

Grants enrollees a possessory interest in the motorized wheelchair for as long as they need it, with possession and control reverting to the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services when no longer required.

Mandates nursing facilities to notify the enrollee's managed care organization in writing when the motorized wheelchair equipment is no longer in use.

Directs the Commissioner of Human Services to apply for federal State plan amendments or waivers necessary to implement the coverage and secure federal Medicaid funding.

Takes effect on the first day of the fourth month following enactment.
