Licensed child care centers in New Jersey must provide 45 days advance notice to parents or legal guardians before implementing any tuition rate changes.

Notice must be sent via email or text message to the last known address or cellphone number on file, or delivered in person by a center staff member.

Child care centers must also post the tuition change notice on their website or other electronic means and display it prominently within the facility.

The bill amends existing child care center licensing requirements under P.L.1983, c.492 (C.30:5B-1 et seq.) and takes effect immediately upon enactment.
