Creates a temporary graduate nursing license for individuals who have completed an accredited nursing program but have not yet passed the licensure examination for registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Temporary licenses are valid for one year, with applicants required to initiate the full licensure process at least 90 days before expiration; the license expires immediately if the applicant fails the licensing exam.

Extensions of up to one year may be granted for illness or extreme hardship, but only one extension is permitted and applicants must have already begun the full licensure process.

Graduated nursing students with temporary licenses may only practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse who is physically present in the same area.

All initial, temporary, and renewal licensing fees are waived for applicants employed by or offered employment at long-term care facilities.
