Restaurants charging mandatory gratuities must disclose them prominently on menus, at the restaurant entrance, on patron bills, and on the restaurant's website if applicable.

Civil penalties for violations: $1,000 for first offense, $2,500 for second offense, and $5,000 for third and subsequent offenses.

Each day a violation occurs constitutes a separate offense, allowing penalties to accumulate daily.

The Superior Court has jurisdiction over penalty enforcement proceedings under the Penalty Enforcement Law of 1999.

Takes effect on the first day of the seventh month following enactment.
