Upgrades simple assault against uniformed crossing guards, parking attendants, and municipal parking authority employees to aggravated assault under New Jersey law (N.J.S.2C:12-1)

Assault on these workers is classified as a fourth degree crime (up to 18 months imprisonment, up to $10,000 fine) if no bodily injury occurs

If the victim suffers bodily injury, the offense becomes a third degree crime (3-5 years imprisonment, up to $15,000 fine)

Protected workers must be clearly identifiable as engaged in their duties or targeted because of their status as crossing guards, parking attendants, or parking authority employees

Adds these worker categories to an existing list of protected personnel that includes law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, school employees, and utility workers
