Establishes a minimum 180 calendar day initial period for Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) tenants to find new housing when required to vacate due to landlord sale or transfer of the property

Current law provides only 60 calendar days initially, with extensions granted at the department's discretion up to 180 days total (or 240 days for households with a disabled member)

Applies to the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and all Public Housing Agencies operating within the state

Requires the Commissioner of Community Affairs to promulgate rules and update the department's administrative plan to implement the new standard

Takes effect on the first day of the seventh month following enactment
