The Domestic Violence Victims' Fund is administered by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency in the Department of Children and Families and receives money from civil penalties ($50-$500) imposed on persons found to have committed domestic violence

Current law limits fund expenditures to shelter services, legal advocacy services, and legal assistance services; this bill significantly broadens the categories of direct services covered
