Dependent children of veterans who died, are missing in action, or are totally and permanently disabled from service-related injuries qualify for tuition-free enrollment at New Jersey public colleges and universities.

Coverage provides up to 60 credit hours for associate degree programs and up to 120 credit hours for baccalaureate degree programs.

Eligibility requires the veteran to have entered the Armed Forces from New Jersey or been a New Jersey resident at enlistment, and the child must be a current New Jersey resident enrolled as an undergraduate in good standing.

Students must first apply for all available state and federal grants, scholarships, and VA education benefits before receiving this tuition waiver.

The State of New Jersey will reimburse public institutions of higher education for the costs of waived tuition under this program.
