Requires all New Jersey public school districts to incorporate cursive handwriting instruction into the curriculum for students in kindergarten through grade 5

Students must become proficient in both reading and writing cursive legibly by the end of grade 3

School districts must include specific activities and instructional materials designed to develop cursive skills

Takes effect immediately upon enactment and applies starting with the first full school year following passage
