Municipalities and boards of education must video record all public meetings, including emergency meetings, and post recordings on their official websites

Video recordings become part of the official meeting minutes and must be made available to the public on the same basis as written minutes

Recordings of closed session meetings are classified as public records and must be released when the corresponding meeting minutes can legally be made public

Only portions of recordings that correspond to publicly accessible minutes will be released to the public

Takes effect 30 days after enactment, with municipalities and boards of education permitted to take preparatory administrative action beforehand
