Applications to collocate wireless communications equipment on existing support structures must be reviewed and approved by an administrative officer through a zoning permit, not through site plan or land use board review.

Administrative officers have 30 business days to issue or deny a zoning permit for collocation applications; failure to act within this period constitutes automatic approval.

Once a zoning permit is approved for collocation, that approval must be relied upon for all related permits, including building, electrical, and other permits under the State Uniform Construction Code Act.

Maximum permitted height increases for support structures are revised to 10% of original height or 20 feet for one additional antenna array (whichever is greater), or 10% or 10 feet for structures in public rights-of-way.

Maximum permitted width increases are revised to 20 feet or the original structure width (whichever is greater), or 6 feet for structures in public rights-of-way; equipment compound expansions are limited to 30 feet in any direction.
