State of New Jersey would be required to reimburse school districts for all costs of transporting homeless students to and from school

Removes current requirement that a homeless child's district of residence pay transportation costs when the child attends school in another district

Applies to homeless students displaced by terrorism or natural disasters who continue enrollment in their previous district for up to two school years after the event

Amends P.L.1989, c.290 and P.L.2015, c.228 to shift transportation cost burden from local school districts to the State

Effective date: July 1 following enactment
