Expands eligibility for law enforcement and corrections officer positions in New Jersey to include individuals granted relief under the federal Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, removing the U.S. citizenship requirement for these roles.

Applies to four categories of officers: State correctional police officers, county corrections officers, municipal police department members, and juvenile corrections officers.

Authorizes DACA recipients appointed as law enforcement or corrections officers to carry firearms in the course of their employment and when required by their supervising authority.

Maintains all other existing appointment requirements, including English proficiency, high school diploma or equivalent, good physical health, good moral character, and passing a criminal background check.
