Adds elected public officials and their immediate family members to the list of protected persons under New Jersey's aggravated assault statute, elevating simple assault against them from a disorderly persons offense to a third-degree crime

Upgrades stalking of an elected public official or their immediate family member from a fourth-degree crime to a third-degree crime, punishable by 3-5 years imprisonment and fines up to $15,000

Elevates harassment of an elected public official or their immediate family member from a petty disorderly persons offense to a third-degree crime

Requires the State Police Superintendent and local municipal police to provide police protection to elected officials and their immediate family members following commission of assault, stalking, or harassment against them

Defines "immediate family member" as spouse, domestic partner, civil union partner, parent, sibling, child, and stepchild related by blood or law
