School districts must incorporate artificial intelligence instruction into the K-12 curriculum as part of New Jersey Student Learning Standards in Computer Science and Design Thinking, covering general AI concepts, foundational user skills, and responsible/ethical use practices.

The Commissioner of Education must provide school districts with age-appropriate sample learning activities and resources for implementing AI instruction.

All public institutions of higher education in New Jersey must offer certificate and degree programs in artificial intelligence.

The Secretary of Higher Education, in consultation with multiple state agencies including the Commissioner of Labor and the Chief Innovation Officer, must develop AI model curricula for both four-year institutions and county colleges that meet accreditation standards.

The Department of Labor and Workforce Development and Economic Development Authority must develop and distribute AI career pathway marketing materials describing AI careers and their benefits to public higher education institutions.
