Reduces the minimum required annual thoroughbred race dates at Monmouth Park and Meadowlands Racetrack from 50 to 25 if the State fails to appropriate the required $10 million horse racing purse subsidy for the thoroughbred industry

Allows reduction to 25 race dates with written consent from the New Jersey Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association (unchanged from current law)

Permits reduction to 40 race dates if the State appropriates less than the required $10 million but more than $5 million for thoroughbred purse subsidies

Current law requires these permit holders to schedule at least 141 thoroughbred race dates annually, with reductions allowed under specified circumstances

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
