Resident school districts may choose to provide either transportation services or annual cash payments in-lieu-of transportation to parents of students attending county vocational schools who live more than 2.5 miles from the school

Payment amounts would be determined under existing state formula for aid-in-lieu-of transportation (N.J.S.18A:39-1a)

Removes the current mandatory requirement that school districts must provide transportation to county vocational school students living remote from the school

Provisions also apply to students attending the Marine Academy of Science and Technology in Monmouth County

Takes effect July 1 of the first full school year following enactment
