Doubles the New Jersey gross income tax deduction for veterans from $6,000 to $12,000

Applies to veterans honorably discharged from active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces, reserve components, or the National Guard of New Jersey in federal active duty status

Amends N.J.S.54A:3-1, which governs personal exemptions and deductions under the state gross income tax

Takes effect immediately and applies to taxable years beginning on or after January 1 following enactment
