Mandates health insurance coverage for prenatal genetic testing during the first trimester of pregnancy, with benefits provided at the same level as any other medical condition.

Covered testing methods include carrier screening (blood or tissue samples to detect genes for inherited disorders), nuchal translucency screening, and chorionic villus sampling.

Applies to all major types of health insurance in New Jersey: hospital service corporations, medical service corporations, health service corporations, HMOs, individual policies, group policies, and small employer health benefits plans.

Extends coverage requirements to the State Health Benefits Program and School Employees' Health Benefits Program.

Takes effect 90 days after enactment and applies to policies delivered, issued, executed, or renewed after that date.
