Boards of education must post on their websites a summary of payroll, total accounts payable, and weekly accounts payable for public inspection.

Boards must also publish a user-friendly summary document outlining major expenditure categories and identifying vendors selected through competitive bidding or competitive contracting.

All required financial information must be posted in a prominent, easily accessible location on the website.

The format for posting this information must be approved by the Commissioner of Education.

The bill takes effect immediately upon enactment.
